Autumnal feelings by AlviaAlcedo Autumnal feelings by AlviaAlcedo
When everything is golden and brown..

My experimental art. It is a 3D art, painting is made on 3 different layers of paper (1 layer- background, 2- left horn and legs, 3 - the whole dragon). I made about 3mm space between every layer, hope, you see it on the photo^^

Watercolors, white acrylics.

And i was just pondering about how to do the cutout idea i had in mind. Well dahm, seems the 'everything just kinda works out for me if it's about drawing' magic made wonders again. Well, thank you for putting this out. It really makes the dragon pop

That's absolutely beautiful! I was wondering about the 3D-looking, really. And then, after hours, I was able to look away from this beauty and read the description...

Oh that's new! Unless you read the description you wouldn't know how you made it so subtly 3D looking. It must have taken forever to cut around all those spines. Is it on a thicker paper than you normally use? And how did you do the background? If I had to guess I'd say you probably put some kind of mesh down and then painted over that.
